10 Things I Hate About You

Jadi ceritanya, hari ini gue ke Bandung. Tapi gara-gara tadi pagi bangun kesiangan, jadinya bokap gue cuma ngedrop dan balik lagi besok pagi. Another damn-bored-but-quite-great holiday, akhirnya seharian gue cuma dokem di kamar sambil nonton dvd.

Remember this movie?

Ceritanya tentang Bianca Stratford (Larisa Oleynik), cewek populer di sekolah yang dilarang pacaran sama ayahnya, Mr. Stratford (Larry Miller). Dia baru dibolehin pacaran kalo kakaknya, Kat Stratford (Julia Stiles) udah punya pacar. Masalahnya, Kat ternyata benci sama cowok dan beranggapan kalo pacaran itu adalah hal yang useless, cuma wasting time. Padahal Bianca pengin banget jadian sama Joey Donner (Andrew Keegan), cowok populer yang juga suka sama dia.

Selain Joey, Cameron James (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) juga tergila-gila sama Bianca. Begitu tau larangan ayah Bianca, Joey dan Cameron yang sebenarnya saling bersaing pun sepakat bersekutu untuk mengatasi masalah tersebut. Mereka membayar uang 300 dolar kepada Patrick Verona (Heath Ledger), salah satu murid sekolah yang juga memiliki sifat mirip dengan Kat untuk memikat gadis 'anti cowok' tersebut.

Tapi, bukannya bikin Kat luluh, Patrick malah jatuh cinta sama Kat.

Patrick: Some asshole paid me to take out this really great girl.
Kat Stratford: Is that right?
Patrick: Yeah, but I screwed up. I, um, I fell for her.

Kat Stratford: I hate the way you talk to me, and the way you cut your hair. I hate the way you drive my car, I hate it when you stare. I hate your big dumb combat boots, and the way you read my mind. I hate you so much it makes me sick; it even makes me rhyme. I hate it, I hate the way you're always right, I hate it when you lie. I hate it when you make me laugh, even worse when you make me cry. I hate it when you're not around, and the fact that you didn't call. But mostly I hate the way I don't hate you; not even close, not even a little bit, not even at all.

Well, that's the best part in this movie, I guess.

Anyway, kangen juga liat aktingnya Heath Ledger di film ini.


Beda banget sama Joker di Dark Knight, film terakhirnya. Udah lama juga, 10 tahun yang lalu.
